Welcome to the Visit Macclesfield’s Art Trail, a place where you can keep up to date with the monthly goings-on in the creative sector of Macclesfield, whether it be to find an art or photography exhibition to visit or source a craft day to get involved in.
Behind the Art Trail information scenes you will find myself, and the Visit Macclesfield team working hard to bring you the most up to date information on this very unique part of Macclesfields cultural hub.
I’m Carly Phipps, a local documentary and events photographer and all round organiser. Having lived in the area all my life, I’ve watched Macclesfield’s artistic community grow from nothing, to a thriving and integral part of the town. I have hosted, curated and participated in several exhibitions in Macclesfield, Bollington and Sheffield (where I am studying my Masters in Photography) and so know many of the artists and venue owners as good friends and am humbled to be part of such a supportive network of people.
Each month I will bring to you through this page, an overview of what is happening along the Arts Trail with the venue, dates and artist details. I will update the page if anything new occurs so keep checking back to see if anything crops up that may take your fancy.
