Heaton House Big Weekend
Are you looking for fun for all the family this summer bank holiday? Then grab the dog, put the tent in the boot and head out to The Heaton House Big Weekend this August bank holiday. Held from the 29th to the 31st August, there is something for everyone including the Wincle Beer Festival, a Great British Bake Off demo, live bands, comedy, funfair, camping and much more. All the money raised goes to support East Cheshire Hospice, Cancer Research UK and The Air Ambulance Service, amongst others.
Bands performing over the weekend include Green Hot Clover with False Alarm headlining the Wincle Beer Festival on the 29th. There’ll be more than 40 real ales, craft beers, cider, perry’s and prosecco, to tempt your taste buds. Enjoy a relaxed bank holiday weekend and join in the fun playing 5-a-side football, enter a team in the tug-o-war competition or bounce around the field in a game of bubble football.
Shows in the main arena includes the Mark Stannage Flaming High Show, falconry and 4×4 displays, majestic owls and for the brave-hearted the 100ft high ‘Skyflyer’ ride. Antique Roadshow’s Adam Partridge will be on hand to value your family heirlooms, whilst Luis Troyano from The Great British Bake Off will be giving a live baking demonstration.
These are just some of the highlights of this year’s three day Heaton House Big Weekend. With free entry for children under 18 and great prices for adults, either come for a day out or pitch a tent and enjoy the whole weekend.
Sarah Heath, Event Organiser – ‘We’re very excited to launch The Heaton House Big Weekend. We’ve had lots of positive feedback about it already. We feel the name now really reflects the purpose of the event – for everyone to come and have a good time.
